A workers protest on the Governors office is planned by me on June 1, 2012 where a list of our demands and corrupt practices by Connecticut Workers Compensation Commission will be nailed to his office door.
Samples of other IW organizational efforts: 29 May 09 -- This Injured Workers' Day marks the 26th anniversary of the day when more than 3,000 workers gathered at the Legislative Assembly to participate in public hearings on workers' compensation and highlight the principle that injury should not mean poverty. Nurses Association  ,  June 1, 1984 First Injured Workers Day  , Canadian Labor Council
Efforts will first be a testimony to the State of Connecticut Labor Committee March 2012 that writes Workers Compensation Law followed by testimony to the Compensation Commissioners at their quarterly public hearings.  Bring cameras to the Commissioner hearing to record their corrupt practices.

A workers protest on the Governors office is planned Friday, June 1, 2012 where a list of our demands and corrupt practices by Workers Compensation Chairman John Mastorpietro will be nailed to his office door.  Maybe I will use tape, maybe not, come and find out. This tactic has worked in the past for other rebels. Of course a few were killed in the process.

Right now Injured Workers are needed to aid the information segment of the March 2012 Labor Committee Hearing. You may write your own topic, provide proposal for legislative reform, come with a topic (example: medical payment delays, hearing delay, crooked IME's, corrupt insurance company practices, etc.) or we may assist you with the presentation relative to reforms and current laws. Contact bill@paybilly.com for your participation.

I have been fighting the corruption in Connecticut Workers Compensation for 19 years of my back injury. During this time I have lost my family and been homeless due to an accepted Workers Compensable Injury that not a dime was paid.  In 2005 I paid $ 30,000 for the exact surgery Workers Compensation denied me.  The result has been dramatic and they still cannot come out of their denial mode or change their course from continually trying to destroy mine and my family’s life.

Injured worker stories are also really needed.  A new website to reach and collect these stories has been formed, InjuredWorkersDay.org./  I know it is tough to be in the system and complain.  We will bring to light the corrupt practices designed to give more power through shoddy legal practices to Commissioners while stripping you of your rights under Workers Compensation Act.    If your case is settled and you are not afraid of the big bad wolf, then your help would be most valuable.

Last year I saw the testimony effect of just 10 firefighters in strength upon the Labor Committee.  If we could get 50 Injured Workers to testify, we could be even more effective than them. As one persons testified, all stood behind the stand.  We need a picture of this!
